I have a similar list of features/applications that Excel can be used for. I build them one by one and publish as Excel templates at indzara dot com. There are some limitations. Excel based solutions may not have all the bells and whistles that a full featured software application can have in scale. However, for small businesses or departments within large companies, Excel templates (in terms of ease of use, easy on boarding, low cost, flexible to modify/expand) can be a better solution.
